Hello everybody my name is Cheri Malozsak and welcome back to Suburban Snacks. I can’t believe that it’s already November! If you’re a returning viewer this month’s snack is… pumpkin spice marshmallows! In this episode, we’ll be going over the top 3 worst design trends in 2021 according to the National Association of Realtors. Now, right off the bat, I want to say that we at Suburban don’t necessarily agree with all top 3. But we figured it’d be best that we inform you so that if you have any of these designs in your house you can tear them down right away! Because let’s face it, you don’t want to be that person whose house is dated back to 3 months ago. So to start us off, the third-worst design trend is Minimalism. According to NAR, an uncluttered, sparsely decorated home can feel sad because of the lack of personality. They say more of a maximalist look is taking root, thanks to influences of cluttercore and Grandmillenial style. What does that even mean? Well, I can tell you this much, Grandmillenial style has to do with floral wallpaper… really? That’s making a comeback? And they say minimalist design is a problem. If you couldn’t tell, that’s the one trend I don’t agree with.
