Hello everyone my name is John Malozsak and welcome back to Suburban Snacks. This month’s snack is… fancy Medjool dates! In this episode, we’ll be explaining why 40% of Americans want to move in 2022. Yes, you heard that right! About 40% of 2,100 Americans recently surveyed say they are considering a move in 2022. Gen Z, Millennials, remote workers, renters, and parents with young children are all planning a move, according to a recent survey from LendingTree. But what is the reason why so many people want to move? Well, 800 out of the 2,100 people surveyed said it was due to one of three things. They desire a home that is more pet-friendly, offers more outdoor space or has a larger kitchen. One thing we found a little interesting is that the desired home features depend largely on the age of the buyer. According to Realtor Magazine, Gen Zers and Gen Xers ranked a happy home for their pets as a top must-have. While Millenials on the other hand prioritize outdoor space. 26% of those surveyed said the reason they’re thinking about moving is that their current home is too small. 17% of those surveyed just want to fulfill their dreams of homeownership. It’ll be very interesting to see how the year 2022 pans out for buyers in the market. If you or someone you know is planning on moving in 2022, regardless of the reason, we at Suburban would love to help! We’ve had the experience of successfully negotiating countless purchases on behalf of buyers. That’s going to do it for us here at Suburban Snacks.
